WRT Torah Study

Welcome to our online forum exploring parashat ha-shavua, the weekly Torah portion, moderated by Rabbi Jonathan Blake of Westchester Reform Temple in Scarsdale, New York.

This discussion forum is open to the public and we warmly welcome your participation; insights, comments, and questions are invited.

Every Saturday, adults from our community gather around a table with the weekly parasha, coffee, bagels, fruit, and pastry, and enjoy two hours together - a short minyan followed by a break for food, and then 90 minutes of intensive but informal study.

Reading from the Triennial division of the Torah (in which 1/3 of each week's parasha is encountered and thus the entire Torah is completed over a cycle of three years), our Torah study is warm, open to all, and lay-led with clergy regularly participating.

This online forum is a virtual extension of our in-person study.

We invite all readers and listeners to add comments and questions below each new entry.
